COPENHAGEN FASHION WEEK
In 2020 RUIFIER were proudly chosen to showcase at the official closing event of Copenhagen Fashion Week hosted by The Jewellery Room, which focused on sustainability within the jewellery industry. The Jewellery Cut chose five British jewellery brands to take to Denmark, each with their own story of how they are consciously and effectively bringing sustainability to the industry.
SUSTAINABILITY AT RUIFIER
To celebrate the beauty in our differences we create one of a kind designs because we understand the importance of creating something that belongs to you and nobody else. At RUIFIER we believe jewellery is for today and forever. Jewellery should accompany you alongside every stage of life and bring memories that will last a lifetime. That’s why our pieces are made to last with solid gold and covered by warranty.
In order for us to respect our environment we do not create based on the mass production system, and we also offer custom orders with our pre-order services. We value the craftsmanship of our goldsmiths who handcraft and assemble our jewellery, we therefore work to create a system where their work will not become wasted.
We are dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of our activities and to reducing waste through a responsible use of paper and packaging. It’s our future goal to reduce the usage of paper and materials in the upcoming years and we are always working on ways to better our impact on the environment.
Every piece from our solid gold collections is designed and crafted with 100% recycled gold. Using recycled gold reduces the amount of waste produced and also helps to protect and sustain our natural resources.
We believe that it is part of our social responsibility to be committed to respecting people, the environment, communities and artistic heritage. These principles find expression in corporate culture, relations with institutions and industry associations, with supply chain partners and in cultural projects supporting the communities in the areas where we are present.
At RUIFIER we love to support non-profit organisations and civic institutions in the cities and communities where we work. We are proud to have collaborated with Smart Works charity for the brand’s 5-year anniversary. We launched limited-edition gift boxes to the charity which provides high quality interview clothes, styling advice and interview training to women in need.
RUIFIER is a diverse community of cultures, skills and nationalities that places a love for all people at the core of the brand. This wide array translates into intellectual dynamism, which is one of the essential elements that contributes to the understanding of changes in society and the market. In all areas, we pay close attention to the professional satisfaction of its collaborators, giving them the opportunity to express their potential and improve their competences.
RUIFIER is committed to The Kimberley Process, thus all of our diamonds are sourced in ethical and responsible manner, ensuring that no conflict diamonds enter our supply chain. RUIFIER is devoted to finding responsibly sourced metals and purchasing conflict-free diamonds and gemstones. We ensure that appropriate standards are applied for human rights, labour standards, environmental impact, and business ethics. As a brand, we put all our effort into working with suppliers that embrace the same values as us throughout the entire supply chain.
